SALT Newsletter 1/30/24

Rested and Rejuvenated

Pictured above are your fearless SALT leaders celebrating the end of 2023 in St. Maarten. Yes, at the end of the SALT “season,” we do seem a bit crazed, but we’re back to “normal” now and ready for a fantastic spring of clubs, classes, and excursions. Thanks to all who have joined SALT and registered for courses and trips already. To the rest, what are you waiting for??? Come join the fun.

SALT Website (http://wnsalt.com)

Join SALT’s new Travel Club! Our first meeting at noon on 2/19 will be at Mimosa’s, where Laura Driggers will join us to talk about the 2024 tours with Premier World Discovery. We will also be polling those who attend for suggestions of trips for us to offer in 2025.

Reminders

If you want to join a club, take classes, or go on local and regional excursions with SALT, you must purchase a membership each semester for $20. The “Get Started” button in the upper right hand corner of the website will take you to the membership and all you have to do is put it in your cart with your other items.

When you register for courses and excursions on the website, you should get a receipt that lists these. You will receive an email 7-10 days before excursions giving you details about the trip. You will receive a link to online classes a day before the class. You are responsible for remembering in-person classes, but many of our instructors will send you reminders for those as well.

If you want to receive the newsletter, you can sign up for it at the bottom of the homepage on our website. If you no longer wish to receive it, please let us know so that we can delete you from the list. Now that we have over 500 subscriptions, we are paying close to $30 a month to use MailChimp, and as always, we are trying to minimize our costs so that we can pass those savings on to those who participate in our program.

WPDE features SALT again!!

Kelli wishes to thank Sheila Rudesill, Linda Doolittle, and Sue Keller for assisting her in the interview and for posing for pictures. You can access the article about our taking folks to Trader Joe’s with this link (https://wpde.com/news/local/should-myrtle-beach-have-trader-joes-south-carolina-january-2024) .
