2025-04-14: Kayaking the Lynch River, Florence, S.C.

Paddle amongst the Bald Cypress of the beautiful Lynches River. Lynches River rises in NC near Waxhaw at about 700 feet elevation, flowing a short distance to the SC border, and joins the Pee Dee River near Johnsonville. It is about 140 miles long. The section starting at Lee State Park and ending at Big Pee Dee River has been designated as the longest wild and scenic river in SC. That’s the section we will be kayaking! Kayak rentals are included in the fee. Bring your lunch and a drink to enjoy along the way. Departure time is 8:45. Activity level: 5.
