SALT Newsletter, May 19

Hi SALT fans! Hope you are enjoying this beautiful weather.

We are now in our first week of classes for the summer, with 10 of 16 courses/clubs going forward with sufficient enrollment. If you have been delaying your registration, act fast if you want to get into the classes starting on Thursday and Friday this week: Chair Yoga, Dining Club North, Shell Collectors Club, Wine Time, or Extra! Extra! (our genealogy class).

At-a-Glance has now been added to the online catalog for your convenience.

Upcoming classes beginning next week include Dining Club Central, Create Your Own Personal Vision Board, and Jo Ann’s history courses on Amish culture, Sally Ride, and Memorial Day. Don’t forget to sign up for the free overview of our upcoming tours with Premier World Discovery scheduled for Friday, May 28. Once you see Laura’s slide show, you may be tempted to go on one of these fall adventures.

It looks as though Hopsewee Plantation wins as the destination most desired by our students in May. That trip still has 3 available seats. Unfortunately, the four other trips scheduled for the first two weeks of the semester only had one or two students enrolled, so we had to cancel them. Be sure to register for our local excursions early so that you get a seat and so that SALTY gets a chance to get out on the road! See the destinations for our remaining trips below.

We are so grateful to our generous donors! A special shout out to Ellen and Danny for Salty's license plate and our Salty Crew t-shirts, to MaryClair and Bob for the Shure Step so our students can enter and exit the van safely, and to Emilie for our octopus Salty Crew t-shirts. We are ready to roll!

Calls for fall class/club proposals will be issued soon, so if you know someone who would like to teach for SALT or facilitate a club, please let us know and we will include them in the invitation.

Register for courses and excursions now! (http://wnsalt.com)
