** BBQ and Shag Festival
------------------------------------------------------------

Since 1987, Hemingway, SC, has hosted a 3-day festival, dedicated to BBQ and shag. We will depart at 9 a.m. and arrive in time for the BBQ cookoff. Enjoy dancing, rides, venders, music, and of course, the BBQ! $45

** Old Baldy
------------------------------------------------------------

We will travel by van to Southport, hop on the ferry to Bald Head Island, and then enjoy an island-wide history tour by golf cart. Lunch at the marina is on your own. $95

Release Your Inhibitions Spree
April 7th is "National Beer Day," but we know that some of you prefer wine or spirits, so we are visiting a winery, a distillery AND a brewery. Not that you need alcohol to help you get in the mood, but the main "entertainment" involves shedding some inhibitions. You will each draw the name of a fellow traveler and receive $10 when we stop at a Goodwill or Consignment shop. You will use this cash to purchase outlandish accessories for the person whose name you have drawn. Everyone will then don their outfits and enjoy a wonderful early dinner at the Grumpy Monk! $35 (Alcohol and food purchases not included in the excursion fee.)

Special Request
As you can see, SALT still has much to offer community members this semester. We will be sending a separate email to each of you with SALT brochures attached. If you know of a business or a club house where you can make these brochures available, we would appreciate your help in spreading the word. Or you can just print some and distribute to your friends and family!

In case you missed it, we did make it on the front page of the Sun News on February 15. Chase Karacostas was interested in our occasional stops at Trader Joe's, so we invited him along on our trip to the Buddhist Monastery in Bolivia, NC; dining on the Wilmington Riverfront, and the stop at TJ's. He fit right in with our crazy crew, and his article even attracted the attention of the Lempert Report and the Supermarket Guru on February 24! Click on the pictures below to access the articles online. SALT is getting its 15 minutes of fame thanks to our stopping at Trader Joe's!

If you are interested in any of the upcoming trips with Premier World Discovery, plan to join us at Peace, Love, and Little Donuts at Market Common on March 8 at 1:00 p.m. for a presentation by our representative, Laura Driggers.
