We’ve taken several trips to the National Steeplechase Museum in Camden, but this is our first excursion to the actual Carolina Cup Steeplechase. This “rite of spring” draws over 30,000 visitors from around the world to enjoy the riveting sport of steeplechase horse racing. Who knows, we may offer a pop-up class beforehand so that we can all decorate our hats. After all, this is the social event of South Carolina, or so the website says! Departure time is 7:45 a.m.
