No doubt Darlington County is best known as the home of the Darlington Raceway, a major stop on the NASCAR circuit and its oldest speedway, having opened in 1950. Tour the Darlington Raceway Stock Car Museum and NMPA Hall of Fame and browse the gift shop before enjoying pace car rides around the track “too tough to tame.” In addition to stopping for lunch (on your own) somewhere in Florence, we will visit Liberty Lane, a park located in the town square that features the handprints of Southern 500 winners.
