We will visit the new International African American Museum that opened in June of 2023 in Charleston. The museum is located on Gadsden’s Wharf, one of the nation’s largest trans-Atlantic slave ports. Architect Henry Cobb designed the building to appear to float above the ground, thus signaling the importance of the location on which this museum stands.
