Description
Rice paper watercolor batik art is a unique art form that just began around the year 2000. Batik on cloth has been done for over 1000 years. This art uses a combination of watercolor and hot wax on somewhat fragile rice paper that provides a stained glass-like appearance in the final picture. All supplies are provided for use. If you have never done any art before or think you have no art ability this workshop will show you that anyone can produce a good work of art by just following a few basic directions. These workshops are intentionally limited to six (6) participants so that all can have success. Those in the workshop will select their own Batik watercolor project from dozens of sample pictures provided.
Sunday, 1-4 p.m., 11/12, $55, F2F, Melech Ha Olam Messianic Church, 1131 Shine Ave., Market Common
