Description
During our tour of Hopsewee Plantation, learn the rich history of this property, birthplace of Thomas Lynch, Jr., one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence. The plantation dates from around 1740 and is now a National Historic Landmark. After a house tour and a Gullah Geechee presentation, we will enjoy a delicious lunch at the River Oak Cottage Tea Room, located on the property (included). Then we’ll make our way to Hampton Plantation for a quick visit before returning home. Departure time is 8 a.m. Activity level 3.
