Evening with Epps Music
Derrick Epps is the Choral Director and Piano Teacher at Northwest Middle School in Travelers Rest,
South Carolina. In his fourth year at Northwest, Mr. Epps has choirs in grades 6-8 and teaches over 200
students a day. He also teaches Guitar and Piano classes at NWMS. The Northwest Singers have
performed at Northwest Middle, Travelers Rest High School, in and around the city of Greenville, as well
as performance trips to Dollywood and Carowinds. In his teaching, Mr. Epps seeks to inspire the love of
singing in his singers and to give them opportunities to excel as musicians through performance.
